After managing to get some 50 people through the line to order from the menu of burgers, wraps, fish n chips, salads, etc everyone sat down out on the patio on a beautiful seaside night. To our very pleasant surprise we had found out earlier that tonight is open mic night at the Surf Club..so we gave a heads up to the group in case anyone wanted to jump up and play a little something.
After a couple of old timer/hippie types same some songs none other than our very own
and
took the stage to perform a short set of originals and covers. The house of ecstatic by these two talented kiddos playing and singing their hearts out. Even the old, sort of scary sound mixing guy, was genuinely impressed...as were the other schools that were at the restaurant and people from Corpus Christi.
Everyone is hitting the sack early in preparation for the long day tomorrow. Send good thoughts!
